Benefits and formula
Why you'll like it
This product stands out for:
- Active ingredient of plant origin: 20% hydrated and cycled lemon eucalyptus.
- It is applied to clothing, not on the skin.
- Up to 6 hours of repellent action.
- For the whole family, respecting age guidelines.
How it acts
The active repellent is a derivative of lemon-scented eucalyptus oil rich in PMD (para-menthane-3,8-diol). As it evaporates from the fabric, it forms a scent zone around the wearer, making it difficult for mosquitoes to locate the person.
According to the manufacturer, it is effective for up to 6 hours against Culex pipiens, Aedes aegypti, Aedes albopictus (tiger mosquito), Anopheles gambiae, and the common housefly. The alcohol acts as a carrier and evaporates quickly, while the essential oils provide a herbal aroma.
A repellent works by affecting insect behavior, not the skin. It's not an insecticide and won't eliminate mosquitoes from your surroundings. However, using it correctly can help you spend your evenings outdoors with fewer mosquito-related annoyances. It doesn't guarantee complete protection against mosquito-borne diseases; in high-risk areas, follow health recommendations.
