How to control odor without blocking sweat
Freshly produced sweat has little to no odor. The smell appears when microorganisms on the skin's surface break down its components using enzymes. A deodorant works on this process, unlike an antiperspirant, which reduces sweat production with aluminum salts.
In this formula, triethyl citrate helps to inhibit the activity of the enzymes responsible for this breakdown, and zinc PCA, a zinc mineral salt, completes the deodorizing system. Glyceryl caprylate and lactylates also contribute to odor control.
The base includes soybean, apricot and sunflower oils, glycerin and extracts of verbena and witch hazel, which provide a soft feel to the armpit.
