How perfume works
Alcohol acts as a solvent for aromatic substances. When perfume is sprayed on the skin, the alcohol evaporates in a few seconds, and the aromatic molecules are released gradually: first the more volatile notes, and then the more persistent ones.
The warmth of the skin promotes evaporation, which is why it's recommended to apply it to areas where the skin is warmer. Tocopheryl acetate (vitamin E) protects the formula from oxidation.
A perfume is applied to the skin to add scent; it doesn't care for or treat the skin. However, applying it correctly can help the fragrance be perceived more evenly and last longer throughout the day.
Ingredients and active ingredients of the formula
These are the components of the formula:
- Alcohol: solvent that carries the fragrance and evaporates when applied.
- Water: softens the alcoholic base.
- Perfume (parfum): aromatic composition with notes of Provence rose, pink pepper and hollyhock.
- Tocopheryl acetate (vitamin E): protects the formula against oxidation.
Their role is aromatic: they transport and preserve the fragrance.
How to use and features
application instructions
Vaporize about 15 or 20 centimeters from the skin, in the areas where the pulse is warmest.
- Apply it to your neck, behind your ears, on your wrists, or on the inside of your elbows.
- Do not rub your wrists together after applying it: it alters the top notes.
- To make it last longer, apply it to moisturized skin, for example after the body cream from the same line.
Precautions: Flammable product; keep away from fire, flames, and heat sources. Contains alcohol. Contains the following fragrance allergens: cinnamyl alcohol, pinene, hexamethylindanopyran, tetramethyl acetyloctahydronaphthalenes, and trimethylbenzenepropanol. If you are allergic to any of these, do not use. Avoid contact with eyes and do not apply to irritated or damaged skin. Avoid exposing the perfumed area to sunlight immediately after application. Keep out of reach of children.
