How it works on hair

Unlike oxidative dyes, plant-based dyes don't open the hair fiber or remove the hair's natural pigment. Henna contains lawsone, an orange pigment that binds to the keratin on the hair's surface, and indigo provides a bluish pigment; the ratio between the two determines how light or dark the brown will be. In this shade, indigo predominates, resulting in a very dark brown. Therefore, the final result is always a continuation of the starting color: it doesn't lighten the hair, and the resulting shade depends on the natural color and porosity of each person's hair.

The color continues to develop for approximately 48 hours after application, especially in brown and dark shades. The included conditioning treatment provides plant oils, betaine, and hydrolyzed plant proteins that soften the hair fiber and help maintain the color.

A plant-based hair dye deposits pigments on the surface of the hair. It doesn't lighten the natural color, and the result depends on the starting shade, so it may not cover gray hair as effectively as a chemical dye. However, when applied correctly, it can help hair achieve a very dark brown color and a natural shine.

Ingredients and active ingredients of the formula

These are the most relevant components of the formula:

application instructions

Wash your hair to remove any product residue. Mix the powder with boiling water (about 300 ml for two sachets) until you have a smooth paste and let it cool to lukewarm. Apply it strand by strand using gloves and leave it on for 15 minutes to 2 hours, depending on the desired result. Rinse thoroughly with water and apply your usual conditioning treatment.

• Always do a test on a strand of hair before dyeing all of your hair.
• Covering the head with a towel or a hat and applying gentle heat intensifies the color.
• Wait 48 hours to see the final color.

Precautions: Henna may cause allergic reactions in sensitive individuals: perform a patch test 48 hours before each application and do not use the product if itching, redness, or swelling occurs. Apply only to unbroken skin; do not use if the scalp is irritated or broken. Do not inhale the powder when preparing the mixture. Wear gloves and protect clothing and surfaces, as henna may stain. Avoid contact with eyes; if contact occurs, rinse immediately with plenty of water. If your hair is chemically dyed, highlighted, or bleached, wait at least 20 washes before using this dye, and allow 6 to 8 weeks before returning to a chemical dye. The aftercare treatment contains the fragrance allergens linalool and limonene, and wheat and soy proteins. Keep out of reach of children. For external use only.
