Matarrania 100% Organic St. John's Wort Repairing Balm 30ml
Intensive care with St. John's wort, shea butter and olive oil
Inspired by an age-old formula, highly valued by rural communities. Its traditional use was to soothe skin after burns, bruises, and insect bites; it relieves pain, reduces inflammation, and helps regenerate the skin.
Furthermore, it soothes and repairs atopic or damaged skin (psoriasis, eczema, dermatitis). The powerful skin-regenerating benefits of olive oil make this product a true balm.
100% cold-pressed vegetable oils. 0% preservatives. 0% perfumes. Gluten-free. Suitable for vegans.

Benefits and formula
Why you'll like it
This product stands out for:
- Shea butter (gives body to the balm and leaves the skin soft and supple).
- Extra virgin olive oil (cold-pressed emollient, traditional base of the brand).
- St. John's wort extract (a plant from traditional rural remedies that gives the balm its name).
- Carnauba wax (provides consistency and forms a protective film on the skin).
- Only four ingredients (no water, no perfumes and no preservatives).
A four-ingredient waterless balm: how it cares for your skin
It's an anhydrous balm: just butter, oil, a plant extract, and wax. Since it doesn't contain water, it doesn't need preservatives, and the entire formula is made up of ingredients that care for the skin's surface.
Shea butter and olive oil act as emollients: they soften the outermost layer of the skin and reduce the feeling of roughness and tightness in dry areas or areas damaged by cold, friction or sun.
Carnauba wax and shea butter create a film-forming effect, a thin layer that protects the area from friction and helps reduce water loss. This is why the skin feels comfortable for longer after application.
St. John's wort has traditionally been used in rural areas in the form of macerations and balms for skin care. It is a photosensitizing plant, and therefore the manufacturer recommends applying it at night and avoiding sun exposure until it has been fully absorbed.
A topical product works on the surface of the skin. It does not alter the internal structure and is not equivalent to a professional cosmetic procedure. However, consistent use can help make dry or rough areas feel softer, more supple, and protected.
Ingredients and active ingredients of the formula
All ingredients are organically grown:
- Butyrospermum Parkii Butter: Shea butter, an emollient that provides body and softness.
- Olea Europaea Fruit Oil: extra virgin olive oil, an emollient that leaves the skin supple.
- Hypericum Perforatum Extract: St. John's wort extract, a plant traditionally used in skin care.
- Copernicia Cerifera Cera: Carnauba wax gives consistency to the balm and forms a protective film.
Their role is purely cosmetic: they take care of the skin's surface quality as part of a daily care routine.
How to use and features
application instructions
To use it correctly:
- Clean skin: Always apply it to clean skin.
- Small quantity: Take a small amount; it melts immediately with the heat of your fingers.
- Gentle massage: Spread with a gentle massage until absorbed.
- Better at night: St. John's wort is photosensitive, so nighttime use is advised.
For external use only. Do not expose treated skin to sunlight until the product is fully absorbed, as St. John's wort is photosensitive. Do not apply to open wounds. Contains shea butter. Keep out of reach of children.
Shea butter melts above 45°C: store it away from heat. If it liquefies, it will regain its texture in a few hours in the refrigerator.
